COVID-19 PATIENTS TRANSFERRED TO MADEIRA COME FROM TWO HOSPITALS IN LISBON

In a statement sent to the newsrooms, the Ministry of Health clarified some aspects of the transfer of three covid-19 patients to Madeira, as the JM announced.

These are three critical patients, hospitalized in Intensive Care, two from Hospital Beatriz Ângelo and one from Centro Hospitalar Lisboa Ocidental.

“Patients will be transferred with the necessary authorization from their families, in a process based on a close articulation between the Intensive Care Services involved and the Monitoring Committee of the National Intensive Care Network (CARNMI), the National Institute of Emergency Medicine (INEM) , the Portuguese Air Force (FAP) and the Health Service of the Autonomous Region of Madeira (SESARAM) ”.

The Ministry of Health further clarifies that air transport “will be provided by the Ministry of National Defense, through a C130 aircraft of the Portuguese Air Force (FAP), with all security conditions being guaranteed, both during land transport and during evacuation. aeromedical, namely with regard to the highly differentiated medical teams of the entities involved (hospitals, INEM, FAP and SESARAM) that will permanently accompany these patients”.
