The Funchal City Council reported that, since 9 am today, between the two fire brigades in Funchal and the Civil Civil Protection, there have been 23 occurrences, resulting from the weather.
In a note sent to the press, the CMF says that the Câmara response included teams from the Department of Environment, Division of Gardens and Urban Green Spaces, Águas do Funchal and Department of Infrastructure and Equipment.
The main interventions were due to flooding of structures or surfaces due to intense precipitation (11), cleaning of roads and danger signs (6) and mass movements of debris (4).
Most occurrences were recorded between 12:00 and 17:00.
