MADEIRA TODAY HAS 65 NEW CASES OF INFECTION

The daily report of the Regional Health Directorate points to 65 new cases of infection by covid-19 in Madeira. This on the eve of a meeting, as already reported, which will take place between the president of the Regional Government and the presidents of the Chambers of Funchal, Câmara de Lobos and Ribeira Brava, municipalities most affected by the pandemic.

Of these cases 54 are locally transmitted. As for imported, three are from the Lisbon and Tagus Valley Region, four from the United Kingdom, two from Spain, one from Germany and one from the United States of America.

There are 28 recovered cases to report today, meaning we have 734 active cases.

Regarding the isolation of active cases, 33 people are isolated in a dedicated hotel unit, 663 in their own accommodation and 38 people are currently hospitalized (34 in the Multipurpose Unit and 4 in the Intensive Care Unit dedicated to COVID-19).
