Today Madeira records 88 new positive cases of covid-19, according to the epidemiological bulletin updated by the Regional Health Directorate. The Region now counts 2766 confirmed cases of covid-19.
These are 7 imported cases (5 from the Lisbon and Tagus Valley Region, 1 from the Northern Region and 1 from the Central Portugal Region) and 81cases of local transmission, most of which are already associated with contacts or contexts of positive cases.
Of the total positive cases recorded, 4 correspond to professionals in the education sector identified within the scope of the ongoing screening in the educational and teaching establishments in the municipality of Funchal.
There are 54 recovered cases to report, so there are currently 1234 active cases, of which 148 are imported cases and 1086 are cases of local transmission.
On this day, there are 2 new deaths to report, so RAM counts, to date, a total of 20 deaths associated with covid-19.
