Madeira received another 5,850 doses of the vaccine against Covid-19

This Saturday night received another 5,850 doses of the vaccine against Covid-19, as expected. The TAP plane that carried this new shipment from Pfizer landed in Santa Cruz at 10:03 pm.

These doses, which on arrival were under the watchful eye of the Public Security Police (PSP), will remain until Monday at Madeira Airport, in thermal insulation boxes, and will only be delivered on 15 February at the Hospital pharmacy. Dr. Nélio Mendonça, thus joining the shipment of 11,700 doses that the Region received on 31 January.

It should be noted that, after transport to the main hospital in Madeira, the vaccines will be stored in two deep freezers. PSP will be in charge of escorting the entire procedure, under strong security measures.
