MANDATORY CURFEW IN THE REGION FOR ANOTHER 46 DAYS

Madeira will keep the curfew for another 46 days, and the measure remains in effect until April 4, Easter Sunday.

The President of the Regional Government reaffirmed today, during the visit he made to the requalification works of the pools of the Clube Naval do Funchal, that the curfew at 7 pm, during the week and at 6 pm on weekends, will be maintained until Easter.

“We will maintain it because at this moment we are facing a major challenge, which is to contain the pandemic and the functioning of the economy, as well as ensuring our hospital response capacity in terms of covid-19 and other pathologies”.

Miguel Albuquerque wanted to draw attention to the fact that the situation of containment in the Region “is not the same as having total confinement as it exists in the Azores or the Mainland. Hence this challenge, this balance that we achieve in order to safeguard public health, while ensuring that the economy works and continues to work ”.
