A yacht valued at more than 42 million euros, docked this morning in the Port of Funchal, owned by the boss of Carnival, the largest cruise operator in the world.
The ‘Mylin IV’, a 61 meter long yacht, pulled up to the ‘Pontinha’ Jetty this Sunday shortly after 8 am, after more than a week of sailing and crossing the Atlantic, coming from St Thomas, an island in the Caribbean Sea belonging to the American Virgin Islands and United States territory, from where it left on the 2nd of April.
The yacht belongs to Micky Arison, the boss of Carnival, the world’s largest cruise operator. It it was built in 1992 by Feadship, a shipyard specializing in the construction of luxury yachts.
