Self-tests are sold out in many pharmacies in Madeira. The great demand around Christmas led to a shortage of stocks and the large distributors do not guarantee replenishment before the end of the year.
The recommendations to the population are to carry out professional tests, made available weekly by the government and to comply with sanitary rules, decreed by the health authorities.
