There are 1,011 new cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection to be reported in Madeira – eight imported and 1,003 of local transmission. With over 1,340 recovered cases to report, there are now 8,772 active cases in the Region, indicated the Regional Health Directorate (DRS) in the epidemiological bulletin.
Regarding the isolation of these patients, it should be noted that 77 people are hospitalized at Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça (73 in Multipurpose Units and 4 in the Intensive Care Unit dedicated to Covid-19).
