Three men died on this first day of the year in Funchal.
Two men, aged 36 and 55, suffered cardiorespiratory arrest, in Bairro dos Moinhos and Caminho da Barreira, respectively.
In both cases, the alert was given at 10:30 am to the Madeira Volunteer Firefighters, who were unable to reverse the situation. The two men eventually died.
Also this morning, the Firefighters Sapadores from Funchal were called to the Virtudes area, where they found a lifeless man. It was not possible to determine the age of the victim.
EMIR and PSP were also present at the locations.
