TRANSQUADRA HAS ALREADY LEFT FUNCHAL FOR THE SECOND STAGE

Moments ago from Funchal, the Transquadra Regatta set sail, which will link Madeira to the French island of Martinique, in the Caribbean, for the second stage.

The departure from Funchal towards Martinique has a total of 130 sailors (76 boats) that will cover something like 2,700 miles. It is recalled that at the end of August, the sailors placed their boats under the shelter of Funchal airport, after the arrival of the first stage.

There are 76 boats that will be disputing this 2nd stage. Frédéric Couture (Be Happy), Eric Tilly and Florent Bouillon (Logoden), Bernard Mallaret and Denis Infante (Euro Voiles) were forced to ‘stop’ in August, but were at the start in Funchal to fight for victory.
