Large road accident blocks expressway

A big accident just now on the expressway, blocking both lanes, with at least two people trapped in the vehicles,

  1. When I was in Germany with the RAF the approach road to the base(Wildenrath) regularly had wrecks of cars of airmen who’d been in crashes lined up to show everyone how they could end up if they didn’t drive carefully. Quite a deterrent.

    Maybe wrecked vehicles should be left at various points along the rapid to act as deterrents?

    1. Remember it well in Germany. At JHQ this was done on the approach road just before entering camp. This was in the mid 80s . Good deterrent though !

  2. Build the morgue next to V1 and put big illuminated sign on top!!
    They put car wrecks outside the fire stations in UK with sign on stating how many killed ( I’m sure they have to get family permission ) some of these wrecks are little more than a scrap heap and unrecognisable as cars, a lot state the ages of people and shows a lot are young inexperienced drivers. Other than the obvious impact of seeing the damaged vehicle not sure what difference it makes in lowering statistics.
