Police officers and operatives from the Madeiran Volunteer Firefighters are currently carrying out an operation to search for an individual who disappeared in the Pináculo area, in Funchal.
According to JM, the individual left his car a few meters from the viewpoint and disappeared.
Police resources are at the scene, which also sent the resources allocated to the BIR team to the scene.
The road is closed in both directions.
