  2. Great pics and really nice to see the promenade nearing completion. Does anyone know if there will be a promenade between the OWA cafe and the prom towards Camara dos Lobos?

  3. We love Madeira but when we returned through the airport on Monday 13th March 2023 we were appalled. It was absolutely packed; it was like a bun-fight trying to get something to eat which was over-priced; but worst of all was that they have removed all the comfortable seating just before the passport control and replaced it with insufficient hard seats. They have also reduced the seating in each gate – I would say that there is only seating for 20% of the plane’s capacity- so it spills out into other gates. Queues for gates 17-18 and 19 extend into the release area of the passport control and if a Brit sees a queue they join it. There should be someone there to say to them that this is the queue just for that gate and if you are travelling from a different gate don’t join that queue.
