Kaos, one of the most exclusive ‘giga’ yachts in the world, makes a technical stopover at the port of Funchal today at 6.45pm, but will not be staying for long.
The ship, managed by Atlantys Superyacht Services/Transinsular Madeira, is 110 meters long, practically the size of Lobo Marinho (113 meters).
It belongs to billionaire Nancy Waltorn Laurie, businesswoman and heir to the Walmart chain. It has capacity for 34 people, includes a helipad, a beach club with jacuzzi, large swimming pool, gym and a wide range of luxury services. The crew consists of 45 people.
The charter price is not known, but it should be around 45 thousand euros per day on average. In high season, the fare is even higher and can reach even more exorbitant prices.
Yacht lovers in Madeira will have a small window of opportunity to see the giga yacht. Kaos is scheduled to arrive at 6:45 pm and will leave shortly after.
