A couple of tourists, French nationals, were rescued last night after becoming lost while walking along the Portais path, in Curral das Freiras.
The Volunteer Firefighters of Câmara de Lobos were alerted to the situation, mobilizing resources to the location, ending up finding the tourists hours later.
