Chamber of Calheta congratulates the achievement of skater Jéssica Rodrigues

Calheta City Council issued a congratulatory note today for the “historic feat” achieved by skater Jéssica Rodrigues, from Clube Desportivo e Recreativo dos Prazeres, at the Youth Winter Olympic Games, taking place in Gangwon, South Korea.

The CDR Prazeres athlete shone last Friday in the final of the “mass start” test in Ice Speed ​​Skating, by winning one of the “sprints” that allowed her to score three points and confirm not only 6th position but also win the first Olympic diploma ever won by a Portuguese athlete in this type of competition”, says the note.

The Municipality of Calheta, led by President Carlos Teles, congratulates Jéssica Rodrigues and the Club “for this historic achievement, highlighting that these results reflect all the commitment of the athletes, coaches and managers involved in the sport”.
