The first flight to try to get to the island, Ryanair from Porto has just diverted to Faro. Why would it not go back to Porto???
A few more flights on the way, but most have held their departures, and are coming later, when hopefully the worst of the wind has gone and flights will get in.
Depression Irene has not brought as much rain as expected, in Caniço we have had hardly any rain from waking up this morning. At the monent the winds remain strong, as the depression moves north east.
