Levada walks and trails reopen.

The Institute of Forests and Nature Conservation has just informed that, “after the end of the adverse weather warnings, the classified walking routes that were closed are now open”.

In the short note, issued by the IFCN, it is explained, however, that “taking into account that the routes are located in areas subject to strong climatic pressure and consequent natural erosion, caution is necessary when undertaking them”.

And he also adds that “if any anomalous situation occurs (occurrence of landslides, existence of branches or trees on the routes, or anything else) it can be communicated to the email: ifcn@madeira.gov.pt “.

Despite this official note, the IFCN portal is still marked as closed.
