Loja do Cidadão will benefit from IT improvements

The operation of the Loja do Cidadão da Madeira, located on Avenida Arriaga, will be restricted until March 11th as a result of an intervention with the aim of making IT improvements. 

At stake is the execution of the Digital Transition project of the Public Administration of the Region, beneficiary of funds from the Recovery and Resilience Plan, under the responsibility of the Regional IT Directorate, which aims to implement a new centralised and connected IT infrastructure in the main buildings of the Public administration.

In order to continue the project, during the next eight weeks, the Citizen’s Store will be closed on Saturdays and the service desks of businesses subject to work to improve the passive network will be closed on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

During this period, citizens will be able to follow information about the operation and services of Loja do Cidadão through the official page: https://lojacidadao.madeira.gov.pt/ . 

In a note issued, the Regional Government explains that “the work now underway is essential for the significant improvement of computer networks and services provided to citizens, as this investment will reinforce the quality of processes and align the Citizen’s Store with the highest standards high levels of technology and efficiency”.
