It’s been an inviting day for swimming on the Porto Santo sand, an almost perfect summer setting, if it weren’t for the beach conditions causing some outrage among bathers.
The reason for the complaints is the algae, infested by mosquitoes, which are affecting the normal enjoyment of space in a large part of the golden sand, as shown in images sent by readers to JM.
An easy job to clear the beach, and make better conditions, but just left to get worse over time.
