Skies generally very cloudy. Light showers on the northern slopes and highlands. Moderate to strong wind (25 to 45 km/h) from the northeast, sometimes with gusts of up to 70 km/h, especially in the eastern and western ends of the island of Madeira and in the highlands.
Hopefully not to many problems at the airport today, but the wind is right on the limit, and if the gusts increase we could see flights waiting to land.
Also this will be repeated Thursday through to Friday, so something to keep an eye on if travelling.
