Bitcoin Atlantis Conference brings together dozens of outside participants

With mostly foreign assistance, the first edition of the ‘Bitcoin Atlantis’ conference has already begun. This initiative is the responsibility of the FREE Madeira Association – Regional Forum for Economic Education – a non-profit organization focused on adoption and economic education in the Region. 

The meeting of professionals takes place at Estádio dos Barreiros and expects around 5 thousand participants from all over the world.

The conference will feature more than one hundred speakers, some of which are major high-tech personalities from around the world, namely: Jack Dorsey (USA), co-founder of Twitter and CEO of Square; Michael Saylor (USA), CEO of MicroStrategy, one of the largest data analytics companies in America; Jack Mallers (USA), founder and CEO of Strike and Jeff Booth (Canada), General Partner of Ego Death Capital and chairman of several companies in the area.

In addition to several events in satellite format, taking place in parallel, there is special emphasis on a ‘pitch day’ for new startups, aimed at global venture capital companies.

In terms of leisure, there will also be a music festival and a film festival.

At this moment, on the main stage speaks Jack Mallers (USA), founder and CEO of Strike who compared Bitcoin to gold which according to the entrepreneur “is stuck in the ground” while “Bitcoin is stuck in the future”.
