Pico do Areeiro begins to turn white with the hail. Although not in large quantities, this morning brought cold weather, some precipitation to the mountains of Madeira and, also, hail in mountainous regions registering low temperatures.
So far, the minimum temperature of zero degrees Celsius has been recorded at this meteorological station.
Until 11 am this Friday, the thermometer was showing 3ºC in Pico do Areeiro, temperatures that differ from what is recorded in Funchal, where, despite the precipitation, they are, at this time, around 17.8ºC.
