A paraglider suffered an accident on Wednesday afternoon, ending up hanging on a slope in the town of Ribeira Brava. Due to the wind the man was thrown against the cliff face.
A source from the firefighters revealed that the man ended up being rescued and helped by a mountain rescue and relief team from the Ribeira Brava and Ponta de Sol Volunteer Firefighters.
The victim complained of a minor trauma to his leg, he was rescued and transported in an ambulance from that corporation to the emergency department of the Dr. Nélio Mendonça hospital.
