The EMIR medical team and a pre-hospital team from the Ribeira Brava and Ponta de Sol Volunteer Fire Department are carrying out a complex rescue operation for a worker who suffered serious injuries.
Although information is still scarce, JM learned from a fire department source that the victim suffered a massive fall during work being carried out on the Vale and Cova do Pico site, in the parish of Canhas.
At this moment, according to the same source, the rescue teams are making every effort to save the victim.
