‘Anthem of the Seas’ brings 5,653 people on the day of the Flower Festival and Mothers Day

On the day of the Flower Festival parade, scheduled for 4:30 pm, the transatlantic ‘Anthem of the Seas’ returned, this morning, to the Port of Funchal for an 11-hour stopover, bringing on board 4,104 passengers and 1,549 crew members.

The ship comes from New York (Bayonne USBAY terminal) and leaves Madeira at 5:30 pm.

This 12-night transatlantic cruise, which began on April 28, in New York, has the Port of Funchal as a second stop, followed by A Coruña, in the north of Spain, Le Havre, in Paris, and Southampton, in England, where the ship will be positioned in the coming months.

In September he returns to Madeira for two cruises on the CAI itinerary, Cruise in the Atlantic Islands.

Hope everyone enjoys the Flower Parade, it’s a beautiful dat, so don’t forget sunscreen, water and hat, especially if you are sitting for hours in the direct sun. Also Mothers day today in Portugal,  so everywhere will be very busy.
