Around 70 extras who were at the Lido Bathing Complex, in Funchal, will now be evacuated, following the Procivex 24 exercise, in case of a tsunami.
As reported, the people received warning that the tsunami would hit the region within 30 minutes and developed mitigation actions along the coastline to minimize the impacts of this giant wave. However, the (simulated) wave caused several serious and minor injuries and several deaths.
