Madeira at the top of the most expensive places to rent a house in Portugal

The Imovirtual barometer shows that, in May, Madeira continued to be at the top of the most expensive places to rent a house in Portugal, with an average rent reaching 1,650 euros. Also to buy a house, Madeira is one of the most expensive places, with an average sale price of 475,000 euros.

With regard to rent, data relating to last month reveal that, in Madeira, the average price increased by 57.14%, when compared to the same month last year, going from 1,050 euros to 1,650 euros. Portalegre (+39.99%) and Beja (+29.03%) are the districts with the biggest increase in average income in May, compared to the previous month, with values ​​rising from €365 to €500 and from €775 to €1,000 €, respectively.

The most expensive districts to buy a house are Lisbon (€520,000) and Faro (€460,000).
