Firefighters with five illegal vehicles

Only three of the eight vehicles integrated into the Porto Santo emergency system are currently operational. The Regional Civil Protection Service revealed to JM that it has detected situations of “non-compliance with legal obligations” by several operational resources, including two ambulances and a fire-fighting vehicle. The illegalities were confirmed by Carlos Drummond, commander of the Volunteer Firefighters, who says that the problem is being resolved.

Porto Santo City Council monitors the firefighters’ case.

The Mayor of Porto Santo has not yet made a statement, but JM knows that Nuno Batista is following the case involving the Humanitarian Association of Volunteer Firefighters of Porto Santo.

This is a situation that worries the mayor of Porto Santo.
