Dozens of flights cancelled at Madeira Airport due to strong winds

The wind continues to affect movement at Madeira International Airport – Cristiano Ronaldo today and only three planes have landed since midnight this Sunday.

At this time, more than 50 flights to and from Madeira Airport have been cancelled, a situation that is causing real chaos and anger among the hundreds of passengers on the ground.

According to ANA – Aeroportos de Portugal, aircraft from Lisbon (11:13 am), Tenerife (2:06 pm) and London (1:19 pm) managed to land in Madeira.

The only three departures from Santa Cruz were at 12:15 p.m. to Lisbon, at 2:26 p.m. to London, and at 2:39 p.m. to Rome. 30 flights departing from Madeira this Sunday have already been cancelled.
