The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) has just extended the orange warning for hot weather on the South Coast and in the mountainous regions of Madeira Island.
This time, the warning, which comes into effect at midnight this Friday, has now been extended until 4 pm on Sunday.
The yellow warning for hot weather in the rest of the Madeira archipelago – North Coast and Porto Santo – will also last until 4 pm on Sunday.
