Swimming in front of the Perito Moreno Glacier is a unique and exciting experience. This ice giant in Patagonia, with its imposing walls and the force of nature around it, conveys an indescribable sense of respect and admiration. Being there, swimming in the cold water, is connecting directly to one of the greatest natural spectacles on the planet, feeling the power and beauty of a place where time seems to have stood still.
Representing Portugal 🇵🇹 at the Winter Swimming World Cup Argentina and winning medals in front of this natural wonder makes this experience even more meaningful. Yesterday, I swam the 50m and 100m in open water in front of the glacier, and with great pride, I collected two medals: world vice champion in my 45-49 ranking in 50m freestyle and world champion in 100m freestyle.
Today, more challenges await me, it will be 200m and the excitement of being here only grows as well as the distance😉
