The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) has placed the South Coast of Madeira Island under a yellow warning due to the sometimes strong northeast wind with gusts of up to 75 km/h in the eastern and western extremes of the island.
The alert will be in effect between 6am amd 9pm this Thursday, September 12th.
