The Machico Municipal Fire Department and the Rapid Intervention Medical Team (EMIR) were called moments ago to assist a person in their 70s who went into cardiorespiratory arrest in the Ponta de São Lourenço area, in Caniçal.
However, resuscitation attempts proved unsuccessful, and death was declared at the scene. The PSP (Public Security Police) took charge of the incident.
