IASAÚDE confirmed the suspected case of infection with a new coronavirus, as advanced by Jornal Madeira a few moments ago.
He also states that the patient came from Milan and was promptly referred to Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital, where he will remain in hospital isolation.
Biological samples will now be collected for analysis. IASAÚDE will update the situation as soon as the laboratory result is known.
