Easyjet repatriation flights

If anyone knows any information about the repatriation flights from easyjet, which I posted a little while ago, can they put comments below.

It seems easyjet make nothing easy.

I have found this info online which people can try as Portway work direct with easyjet. You might get some info there.

  1. Yeah, we are on one of these to Manchester. Which is good. And easyJet have taken their duty of care property.

  2. Hi Toni from Lisbon – it appears easyJet does not consider leaving customers stranded on Madeira does not warrant any help from them at all ! We were told we could only be rebooked on 1 replacement flight or have a refund. We therefore got a flight to Lisbon as replacement and paid for a separate flight from here to the UK tomorrow. There seemed to be plenty of rescue flights from Spain, but no mention of Portugal/Madeira. So don’t wait for them to help or you could be there a while !

  4. Hi Everyone, I am posting this here with the intent of helping. It is a direct copy and paste job of the experience of an EasyJet passenger today who was on a repatriation flight from the island of La Palma in the Canaries (just south of here). Please do not panic reading this, it is to assist with making sure someone doesn’t overlook a potentially important detail of the EasyJet requirements/process as it played out in that case:

    “Further to my post, we got home ok but can’t emphasise strongly enough how important this is.

    Many people were turned away at the security gate at the airport because they hadn’t re-booked and were still holding their original boarding cards. Easy jet were apparently using a first come first served basis if people hadn’t re-booked if there were seats available. There weren’t any seats available so they were left without a flight or a hotel.”

  6. Hi Already commented on original article EASYJET SCHEDULES 12 RESCUE FLIGHTS FOR THE 19TH, 20TH AND 21ST. As can be seen from the four comments so far on that article despite the announcement no one seems to be able to book so far on these rescue flights as neither the website or app even recognise the rescue dates as having any flights !! I’ve been trying since shortly after the announcement and getting nowhere !

  10. Agree with M. Been trying for nearly two hours through manage bookings on website and app and still showing ‘no flights’ for the dates given. Other friends who are in contact are saying the same. Since the announcenent by Easy Jet has anyone actually managed to book? Hope so.

  11. Easyjet have let us down again, the Rescue flights are non existent, as soon as we were emailed by EasyJet, we tried to book a Flight, but with no success at all

  12. We managed to book on a flight back to Manchester on 20 March. I had to keep trying, and 3 or 4 times it didn’t work. The site did not accept every time. I can exactly remember what links I clicked but I eventually got an email confirmation.

  13. A few of us 10 people have booked on a flight to Manchester. There is a flight and the flight number is EXY9972. I did it through a link once I had signed in.

  14. Same here, easyjet cancelled my flight to Manchester on the 20th (family of 5). The only flight I got was BA to London. Still I have happy to get a flight but a long trip to add the train from London to Manchester. I wish easyjet had made their annoncement eariler. I will be back in Madeira and will not choose Easyjet again.

  15. Go to your original flight confirmation email. The email you recieved when you first booked the flight weeks or months ago. Scroll down and there are 3 links —add seats – add more item- change flight. Click on change flight.

I think the website and app have possibly crashed…. because although repatriation flights to Manchester or Bristol or Gatwick are showing as available, no matter which way I try to book one, I keep getting the same error message at the end and nothing is booked. Have been trying for over 3 hours now.

  17. We flew back to London Gatwick on Tuesday 16th on a rescue flight. We checked on the Ej App and saw that our original flight to Bristol on the 18th had been cancelled but we’d rebooked on the Gatwick flight. We immediately checked in, chose seats and got boarding cards. Flight left on time and we were pleased to get home. We did have a text and an email from EJ saying our flight had been cancelled but nothing about the revised flight. Had we not had a Smart phone and the EJ App, we would have had no idea what was going on. On constant hold on phone, no reply from Social Media. The EJ customer service desk was closed when we got to Gatwick and there were no staff visible. There was a good presence from TUI and Jet2.

    U2 9138 Gatwick. 16-45. Don’t know how much this helps or whether it is worth a trip to the airport. May well be some more departure flights tomorrow. Go on the airport site, click on departures and check the date tomorrow as you scroll down and see what information is there.

  19. It works went onto Manage bookings and obtained a flight home on Friday with very little problem boarding passes all complete! The only issue is the flight time on the pass doesn’t match the flight time published but will be at the airport in any case! thanks for all the assistance and positive thoughts sent through the various media channels.

    Did manage to speak to easyJet yesterday morning but was told 3rd April so glad we got flight today situation not the best as everybody was closing apart from supermarkets

    Weather was windy but flight did land I believe afternoon flights where not the case
    British airways does have some slots but these are for next week if they are still open at airport
    Hope you all manage to get home safely

  21. In my opinion this has been handled very badly. Easyjet have not communicated well at all. My flight to Manchester was cancelled for 20/03/2020. I was told on 17/03/20 easyjet text, but found out ourselves the day before.

    I booked a flight with another carrier for Sun 22nd to Gatwick. Told by easyjet on 18th of rescue flights but nothing more. 19th informed of rescue flights on 19th and 20th.
    Oh have I missed something, my original flight 20th.
    I would have wanted to have been part of the rescue flight, but cannot because I have requested a refund!
    I now have get to Manchester from Gatwick.
