As the regional secretary of health had already advanced at a press conference . and within the scope of the Covid-19 Contingency Plan, the gradual reopening of face-to-face activity in health centers in the Region will start tomorrow.
Thus, from Monday, June 8, the Urgent Care Services will be in operation, from 8 am to 8 pm, on working days, the health centers of São Vicente, Porto Moniz and Santana.
With urgent assistance 24 hours the health centers of: Machico (preferably for the municipalities of Machico, Santa Cruz and Santana), Ribeira Brava (preferably for the municipalities Câmara de Lobos, Ribeira Brava, Ponta do Sol, Calheta, São Vicente, Porto Moniz) and Porto Santo.
The regional health authorities point out that “users in the municipality of Funchal can use any of these health centers open 24 hours a day, as an alternative to the urgency of Hospital Nélio Mendonça”.
Also within the scope of the plan to resume face-to-face activities at the level of primary health care, since the 1st of June, consultation periods have increased. As indicated below:
a) Bom Jesus
• Medical consultation by phone from 8 am to 2 pm (969377014)
• Face-to-face medical and nursing consultation from 2 pm to 7 pm
b) São Roque and Monte
• Face-to-face medical and nursing consultation (in São Roque between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm and in Monte from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
c) Santo António
• Medical consultation by phone from 9 am to 5 pm (966735638)
• Face-to-face medical and nursing consultation from 9 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 6 pm
d) Nazaré (Dr. Rui Adriano)
• Medical consultation by phone from 9 am to 12 pm and from 2 pm to 5 pm (969376991)
• Face-to-face medical and nursing consultation from 9 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 6 pm
e) Câmara de Lobos
• Face-to-face medical and nursing consultation from 9 am to 1 pm
f) Prazeres
• Face-to-face medical and nursing consultation from 9 am to 1 pm
“These new consultations make it possible to respond to users with acute illness, with the worsening of chronic illness situations and in which it is not necessary to go to an urgent care service or to the urgency of Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça”, says SESARAM in a statement.
It should also be noted that in the region’s health centers, face-to-face consultations on Psychology, Nutrition, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy were resumed, as well as social service.
