MADEIRA INSIDE THE BRITISH TOURIST CORRIDOR
As we already know with this story below, Anyone coming to Madeira when returning to UK will have to Quarantine for 14 days, But this looks like it could be resolved very soon, as tasks are in place between Portugal and the UK.
Great News, and what we were all hoping for, So I believe we will see an increase in flights and tourism from the UK in the coming months. This is in effect from tomorrow
Although mainland Portugal is outside the UK tourist corridor, Madeira and the Azores are included in the list that the British Government publish today for countries and territories excluded from the mandatory 14-day quarantine, according to a news item from Dinheiro Vivo .
The list, which will be published today by the British Executive and which will contain more than 50 countries, was drawn up after a risk assessment by the Joint Biosecurity Center, together with the general health directorate of England [Pubic Health England ] and took into account factors such as the prevalence of coronavirus, the number of new cases and the potential trajectory of the disease.
It is recalled that this list includes the countries to which the British can fly without being subject to the 14-day quarantine on their return home.
It should be noted that the end of quarantine for those entering the United Kingdom from countries that are included in the air corridor will take effect on the 10th of July.
Also according to Dinheiro Vivo, British Airways, easyJet and Ryanair have appealed to the courts to challenge the limitations imposed by Boris Johnson’s executive on air mobility.

Airplane bound for Madeira returned to Lisbon
The TAP plane that made the connection Lisbon – Funchal, flight TP2357, ended up returning to Humberto Delgado Airport about 25 minutes after taking off in the Portuguese capital.
The aircraft, an Embraer operated by TAP Express, had left Lisbon shortly after 9 am. With about 25 minutes of travel to Madeira International Airport – Cristiano Ronaldo, when the Atlantic Ocean was flying over an altitude of close to 10,000 meters, the plane turned around, having returned to where it landed at 10 am.
It is not known, for now, the reasons that would have motivated the interruption of the trip that was scheduled to arrive in Madeira by 10:30 am.
