The Forest and Nature Conservation Institute (IFCN) revealed this afternoon that it will close the pedestrian path for maintenance work.
This is one of the most sought after places by locals and foreigners for their nature walks. However, the route through Levada do Alecrim (PR6.2), in the Rabaçal area, in Calheta, where you find a detour to the path that leads to the famous Lagoa do Vento. The PR 6.3 walking path (Vereda da Lagoa do Vento), will be temporarily closed for maintenance work, starting this Thursday, the 6th of August, until the end of the month.
