31 new cases for Madeira

There are 31 new positive cases to report this Sunday in Madeira. These are 17 imported cases (10 from the United Kingdom, four from the Lisbon and Tagus Valley Region, one from the Centro region, one from the North of Portugal and the other from Italy) and 14 cases of local transmission, mostly associated to contacts or contexts of positive cases previously identified.

Regarding confirmed cases, there are two positive cases in the area of ​​health, one being a user identified within the scope of intra-hospital screening of patients and a health professional, with contact with a positive case, outside the professional context.

Today there are also 19 more recovered cases to report, so the region now counts 332 active cases, of which 90 are imported cases and 242 are cases of local transmission.

Regarding the isolation of active cases, 35 people are isolated in a dedicated hotel unit, 281 in their own accommodation and 16 people are currently hospitalized, 15 in the Multipurpose Unit and 1 in the Intensive Care Unit dedicated to the covid-19.
