GOVERNMENT ASKS MADEIRANS TO SEE THE FIREWORKS AT HOME

The regional secretary for Tourism and Culture, Eduardo Jesus, at the press conference held this afternoon to define the rules for seeing the end of the year show, asked the Madeirans not to leave the house to see the fireworks and be responsible.

However, for those who cannot see the fireworks from home, there will be solutions.

The Regional Government will place specific zones so that people can see the fireworks. In these locations, zones limited to people of the same family will be placed, and the use of a mask and social distance will be mandatory.

In all, the Government established a limit of up to 10,300 people to be able to see the pyrotechnic spectacle in the places designated for this purpose, these being Praça CR7, Avenida Sá Carneiro, Avenida do Mar, viewpoints of Nazaré and Neves (with limited and controlled access 380 people) and Pico dos Barcelos (515 people).

Eduardo Jesus also revealed that three cruise ships will be at the Port of Funchal, and passengers will attend the show without coming ashore.

The pyrotechnic show will be broadcast on RTP-Madeira, on the channel naminhaterra.com and radio.
