RIBEIRA BRAVA OFFERS MORE THAN 300 BLANKETS TO THE ELDERLY POPULATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY

Taking advantage of the Christmas season, the Ribeira Brava Parish Council offered more than 300 blankets to the elderly population residing in the municipality.

This is an action of the Board that aims to meet “some needs of local institutions”, in this case seeking “to ensure more comfort and a sense of proximity” at this time, as highlighted by Marco Martins, president of the Parish Board of Ribeira Brava.

Taking advantage of the wave of solidarity, the board also took the opportunity to fulfill the tradition and offer the children of the house a shelter in the parish, toys and vouchers worth thirty euros to consume in local shops.

Marco Martins considers that “the constraints of the pandemic we are experiencing have brought more demands on the need to be close to our citizens and my team has tried to do just that”.
