Considering the weather forecasts for the next few days, the Institute for Forests and Nature Conservation announced, in a statement, that all walking routes are closed and that all recreational and sporting activities in the forest are not recommended.
The Forest Road connecting Eira do Serrado to Pico do Areeiro will also be closed.
The IFCN also discourages travel in forest areas and mountainous areas and recommends that the authorities follow the guidelines.
