Region has administered more than 46,000 vaccines against covid-19

Until March 28, 46,037 vaccines against COVID-19 have been administered in the Autonomous Region of Madeira since December 31, 2020.

Vaccinated persons form part of the priority groups defined in the Regional Vaccination Plan against COVID-19 in RAM, according to the allocation of vaccines to the region.

Of the total number of vaccines administered (46,037), 30,426 correspond to the administration of the first dose and 15,611 were second doses of the vaccine.

Throughout this week, vaccination continued for people over 80 years of age. Until March 28, 87% of the people living in the region, over 80 years old, received the first dose of the vaccine, and 50.7% of these have the complete vaccination, more specifically 5605 people.
