The President of the Regional Government stated that he “is already used” to dealing with these situations and asked people to “not enjoy the beauty of Madeira this Sunday”, staying at home for security reasons, due to the instability of the weather and the paths where landslides can occur.
Please don’t go to the mountains or walk the Levadas, as the weather situation is still very unstable, rockfalls and landslides could occur anywhere putting danger to life.
