This afternoon, in just 2 hours, 653 electrical discharges were recorded in the Madeira Region, especially between Madeira, Porto Santo and Desertas.
The heavy thunderstorm with a particular incidence in the eastern part of Madeira, between the municipalities of Santana and Machico, began to be felt close to 2 pm, forcing even to close the Rocha do Navio cable car, in Santana, for reasons of security.
