According to the Regional Directorate of Health, Madeira registers today 87 new cases of covid-19. These are two imported cases and 85 cases of local transmission.
The Region now accounts for 14,183 confirmed cases of infection since the beginning of the pandemic.
There are also 86 recovered cases to report.
There are currently 775 active cases, 37 of which are hospitalized at Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital (36 in Polyvalent Units and one in the Intensive Care Unit dedicated to covid-19).
