Madeira was once again elected the best island destination in the world at the World Travel Awards.
It is the seventh consecutive time that the Region has won the award. The election is made through the internet, by the public and by professionals in the hotel and tourism industry. The secretary of tourism considers that the distinction is a good contribution to the affirmation of the destination.
