The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA) extended the yellow warning for rain also to the south coast of Madeira.
The warning is in effect until 9 am this Monday, with a forecast of sometimes heavy rain that could be accompanied by thunder in the east.
